Kat & Ana, whose names are a pun on the word katana, are young twin ninjas, each with pink and orange hair respectively, who adore living things, specially animals and flowers. They've debuted in the first WarioWare game, and have appeared in nearly every game in the series since then generally as employees of WarioWare, Inc. In each new title, they offer a different short story with a set of microgames to go with it.

Kat & Ana appear as Assist Trophy characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Kat and Ana use a special dance combination, in which they fly in from various locations off-screen and cross over at the summoner's opponent(s). Any characters that make contact with either Kat or Ana will take 10% damage. If Kat and Ana both hit, characters that are caught in the X will take 20% damage. Kat & Ana are the Assist Trophy parallels to the Pokémon Latias and Latios.

Link is the main character and protagonist of the The Legend of Zelda series. He has appeared across many incarnations throughout the series, usually depicted as an ordinary boy or young man who becomes a legendary hero by saving the world through feats of courage.[105] He is often the holder of the Triforce of Courage, a sign of his being chosen by the Golden Goddesses. He is typically seen wielding a sword and shield, most often the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. Specific incarnations of Link may be distinguished by titles such as the Hero of Time in Ocarina of Time and the Hero of Winds in The Wind Waker. All incarnations of Link possess the spirit of the hero and are thereby destined to fight evil.

Ike is the central character of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and one of the main characters in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. He is the son of Greil and Elena, as well as the older brother of Mist. He is also the fearless leader of the Greil Mercenaries and the first main character who is not of noble birth, the second being Byleth.

By now you may have seen this template on other websites, it even made Papercraft Museum's Model of the Month once! We've actually had it on our forum for a long time too since it was designed by one of our members, Ignatius. But without a finished picture we can't really post something of this complexity on the blog. Until now that is, so many thanks to Zeroangelx2 for this great build!

Fox McCloud is the main character of the Star Fox series and has appeared in many games and spin-offs spanning several generations of consoles. He's a young but highly skilled starfighter pilot, flying his trademark Arwing to wherever the latest threat to the Lylat System emerges! This model is based on his Super Smash Bros. Brawl trophy, which in turn is derived from the artwork of Star Fox Command on the DS.

In Brawl he is a very fast character with short range rapid attacks and some speedy combos. He has a good selection of special moves, giving him a ranged attack, and a variety of tactics for movement and defense. Though like most lightweight characters he needs to avoid being caught up in a heavy fight and can be KO'd quite easily.

No doubt this is a complex model, so experience and appropriately thick paper are essential. Using the PDO file with Pepakura Viewer will also be immensely helpful.


Fox McCloud - SSBB

For all you Zelda nuts here’s a Darknut from Twilight Princess! This is one of Ignatius’ many SSBB trophies which lacked a finished build until recently.
Darknuts are huge knights clad in head to toe with thick plate armour, equipped with a large round shield and massive sword. They’re as strong as they look, though rather slow. They tend to be one of my favourite enemies to fight because unlike many foes who can be dealt with after a flurry of quick sword blows, you really have to time your strikes and special moves to land any significant damage. When the plate armour has been stripped away they appear as masked warriors with a secondary layer of chain mail. Without all that armour they’re much more agile and aggressive, so watch out for those rapiers! Fighting one is well enough but the game has several places where you’re forced to fight up to four of them!

This is quite a formidable papercraft with many pieces and pages to work with, including both swords. The construction is interesting because the model is the Darknut’s chain mail appearance with the plates being built and added around this. 50cm tall (this includes the sword when held I think).

All directions refer to the model's direction (i.e. right means the models right side). I
highly suggest building this model smooth; if a part or tab needs to be scored, they are 
generally lined and dotted, respectively. An asterisk denotes special instruction, refer to
these instructions. It may seem like the model could have fit on 5 pages but the awkwardness
of parts 63 and 54 would have forced me to make the layout very condensed and confusing
and I consider the extra page worth the resulting ease.

1-18: Hair-The hair is pretty straightforward, assemble 1-3 and 4-6 (the pigtails) before
	adding them to the rest of the hair. Assemble the pieces individually first, then
	put them together with a generous amount of glue. It is easier to glue the asterisk
	tabs of part 17 to the asterisk tabs of part 19 then gluing 17 directly to 16.

19-29: Face-Again, this should be no problem. Just assemble in the build order and you 
	should have Aryll's head completed rather quickly.

30-36: Top of Dress-Pretty easy again, just continue down the build until you reach 36.

37-59: Arms and hands-First of all, sorry for the "38.5" piece. I forgot to number it and 
	didn't notice until I had already finished the rest. The arms shouldn't give you 
	any trouble, but don't attach them to the body until you've completed them. The 
	hands aren't the easiest to assemble (I'm no ninjatoes ;o) but if you take your
	time and add them one at a time they should turn out alright. The asterisks just 
	mean that all the tabs on these parts (the fingers) need to be scored and folded
	(I didn't feel like dotting every one).

60-64: Dress-The rest of the dress is easy, just glue them on.

65-82: Legs-Build each leg (65-71 and 72-78) individually, starting from the feet up, before
	putting them together using parts 79-81. If you want her to stand, you'll pretty
	much have to add weights to her feet. It's easiest to glue 79-80 first, then
	gluing them together with part 81 (the tabless piece). Afterwards, just wrap 82
	around. If you are unsure of the shape of your legs, glue the optional piece onto
	82 (therefore, fold the tabs mountain). Otherwise, fold the tabs valley. Either way,
	push the completed legs into Aryll's dress with the rim coming to the top of 62.

83-91: Telescope-Assemble 83 and glue on 84. Then build down the telescope until you reach 
	88. The assemble 89-91 together however you find easiest and attach it to the rest
	of the telescope. Now glue it to Aryll's right hand (just above the yellow band in
	the middle) and you're done! I hope you've enjoyed building the model.

This is Mario in the Metro Kingdom outfit. The build is really fun. Start with the head and build all the way down to the feet. It's best to use 36gsm paper and use a hot-glue gun to attach the legs, hands, and Cappy eyes. Enjoy!

We all know the best part of the Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker was Link’s facial expressions. His exaggerated actions and reactions gave the game a wonderful comedic tint. One of my favourites is this: When Link places a Hyoi pear on his head as bait for the seagulls. How do the gulls even eat the pears? Swallowed whole? 

The papercraft looks pretty simple but it’s also quite small scale. I tried to make the hands as simple as possible while still capturing their shape, but they can still be a little fiddly. Attaching the body to the legs will require some force. Push the legs in nice and tight and this will help secure them in place as the glue dries. The seagull is optional. You can have it permanently fixed to Link’s head or try to make it detachable using magnets (note: Link will struggle to stay upright with the gull attached).

This papercraft is based on Toxel, an Electric/Poison type Pokémon. It’s the first and currently only Pokémon of this type, excluding its evolved form Toxtricity. Toxel’s nature determines which form of Toxtricity it will ultimately evolve into

The papercraft is pretty simple and quick at just 3 pages, but there are a couple of more difficult angles that will need a little patience so I’ve decided to rate its difficulty 3/5. Really it’s probably a 2.5/5, but my rating scale isn’t that precise. Take extra time when attaching the limbs to the body and with the mouth.

Toxel

This papercraft of Peach’s castle is based on the souvenir model you can get in Super Mario Odyssey. The model is one of the ornaments you can get to decorate the ship and is a miniature of the full size Peach’s castle in the Mushroom Kingdom. The castle design is similar to the one from Super Mario 64 and features a similar giant portrait of Peach.

The smaller turrets can be a little fiddly, but they’re actually all optional, so if you’re struggling with them don’t worry about it too much. The base can also be a little tricky and may need some gentle encouragement to straighten out. Remember paper is flexible! You can bend it slightly to shape it.

Super Mario 3D World launched on the Wii U in 2013 and now a port has been announced for Switch! 3D World introduced the cat power up, but it wasn’t just for Mario. Bowser also got a piece of the cat action and a fresh new look to go with it.

This papercraft gets a hard rating for a couple of reasons. First is simply its size and complexity - at 15 pages it’s quite a long build. The second reason is there are some difficult angles and curves to negotiate. There aren’t really any small fiddly pieces, but attaching all the large pieces together can be a bit tricky.

In The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker, Carlov runs a semi-secret members-only ‘club’ called the Nintendo Gallery. Members of the club provide Carlov with pictographs of enemies or NPCs and the master sculptor Carlov will craft a figurine of them. Figurines can be viewed in the gallery which is under a hatch in the Forest Haven.

This papercraft features Carlov, the sculptor himself anda little diorama inspired by his desk and workstation in the Nintendo Gallery. His room in the game is so large that only a tiny selection of objects can fit in this paper rendition! This papercraft can be a little fiddly in places, so if you’re not super confident there’s a version of the desk that removes the finer details. There’s also a slightly larger version of Carlov, but be warned this version won’t fit inside the diorama.

Yamper is a new 8th Generation Pokémon that featured in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Yamper is an electric type based off a corgi. The papercraft is simple with big, chunky pieces and should be fairly easy to build.

Wilbur and Orville are the two man (or dodo) band that make up Dodo Airlines in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Orville acts as a receptionist while Wilbur handles the flying. Their seaplane is your only means of travel beyond your island, and they'll fly you free of charge to other players' islands or to mystery islands in exchange for a Nook Miles Ticket.

In The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker, Tingle lives in the eponymous Tingle Tower. The tower was actually built by Tingle’s younger brother Ankle, who has a somewhat strained relationship with his siblings.

The papercraft features a fully rotating head, just like in the game. Unfortunately though, unless you have some lackeys handy you’ll have to turn it yourself! The tower has a hand carved feel so it’s not rotationally symmetrical. This means it really matters which pieces attach to other similar pieces. Check the pdo to make sure!

Also included is a tiny little Tingle craft to sit in the tower. This one is really small so make sure you’ve got tweezers ready and take your time.

Alcremie is a new 8th generation Pokémon that first appeared in Sword and Shield. Alcremie can evolve into a huge number of different forms depending on its hold item, the direction the player spins and the time of day. This papercraft represents all 10 different colourings, with each one including options for the 7 different sweets. So take your pick and build your favourite!

With the latest entry in the Animal Crossing series adding crafting, now’s the perfect time to start crafting in real life! Crafting isn’t the only addition in New Horizons either - Tom Nook’s  also sporting a new summery look that’s featured pride of place in this papercraft. 

The mini Tom Nook figure is a small one page craft that can be done alone, but he might need a little help to stand up without the base.

Polterpup first appeared in Luigi’s Mansion 2 on 3DS and now he’s back and just as adorable in Luigi’s Mansion 3 on Switch. He’s a cheeky little ghost dog who can cause problems, but with a face like that it’s impossible to be angry with him.

Papyrus from the hit indie game Undertale joins his brother Sans in paper form. Use this free template to build your own little model of your favourite human-hunter. Papyrus’ lankier frame makes this build a little more fiddly than Sans, but it’s still designed to be a simple and quick build.

You all know who this skeleton is, it's Sans from the immensely popular indie game Undertale! Known for his chill demeanor and skill at puns (also his gruellingly hard bossfight), you can have your own paper Sans Undertale using this simple template. With him on your desk you'll never have a bad time.

This one is pretty straightforward, though the head can be a little tricky. Be sure to follow numbers, and close at the feet. Base is optional, but suggested.


OOT Link

Nabooru is the second-in-command of the Gerudo, Ganondorf being her only superior. Nabooru is highly respected by the other Gerudos, who are unaware of her rebellion against Ganondorf. During the events of Ocarina of Time, she becomes the new Sage of Spirits and aids Link in his quest.

Happy New Year! Today I'm happy to finally release my Sheik model from Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U! 

As my papercraft and gaming interests change, it's getting a bit harder for me to find Nintendo related projects to work on. But the characters of Hyrule Warriors generally look amazing and present some very interesting opportunities for model making! 

Sheik: HW

Upon entering Termina, Link is transformed into a deku scrub by the Skull Kid. In this form, he can hop across water, fly with deku flowers and shoot bubbles out of his snout.

This little fellow is better edited and thought out than my experimental 3DS Sheik model. For a start I have abandoned the idea that they need to be similar in size to my N64 models, so he is larger than usual, allowing more detail to be preserved. Ok larger than usual means only 17cm but Deku Link is small compared to most other characters.

Also I've decided to treat this a 'complex' craft and have built mine in the smooth method, where I've ignored most fold lines.

It is a mix of small and large parts. The hair is a bit awkward but most things should not be a problem for experienced builders.

A pretty complex craft, Blimp Yoshi was one of Yoshi's new power ups introduced in Super Mario Galazy 2, along with Dash Yoshi and Bulb Yoshi. With a Blimp Fruit, Yoshi can propel himself and Mario into the air for a short amount of time.

Tips: Follow the template's numbers for the suggested build order. I highly recommend using Pepakura Viewer  to open the .pdo file, it will tell you exactly what part goes where.



Blimp Yoshi

Mew is a pink, bipedal Pokémon, with large blue eyes. It has a long, thin tail ending in an ovoid tip. Curiously enough, it has hair, but it's so thin that can only be seen under a microscope. Mew is said to have the DNA of every single Pokémon contained within its body, and as such is able to learn any attack. It's capable of  traveling freely in the air or underwater. It's shown as intelligent, curious, playful and even selfless. Mew can make itself invisible, but It will show itself to a person who is pure of heart.

Start it at the ears and build following the numbers. The fingers are small, so I included some color references at the tabs, tweezers are still indicated. It's important to build the tail as careful as possible, since if they get a weird position they might not fit well on the base. Close the model at the indicated place. The base is closed at the bottom. Also, there's a pink texture for the base, the shiny pdfs have it with this color. 

Exploud is a large blue bipedal Pokémon with a large mouth. It has two peg-like teeth on each jaw. It has protruding tubes with holes along its body: seven along the crest on its head, four on its elbows and knees, two along its back, and two on the end of its two tails. Exploud's bellowing is capable of triggering earthquakes and can be heard from over six miles away. It only raises its voice when it is in battle. It communicates its feelings to others by producing whistle-like sounds. It lives in caves.

Start at the top of the head, build the tubes first and the face around them. The mouth is glued after the first piece of the back is glued. Glue pieces 17 and 20 to the arms after the first segments of pieces 16 and 19 are built. The parts under the mouth (22 and 23) can get tricky, start them at the bottom of the lips. Close at the tip of the tails.

Exploud

This monkey can be found in the Woods of Mystery. He guides Link through the passages and finally to the injured witch Koume. Upon exiting the Woods of Mystery, they ask Link to rescue their brother from the Deku Palace, where he is being locked up for kidnapping the Deku Princess.

While he plays a minor role in Ocarina of Time, in Majora's Mask, Sakon is a thief who has a hideout in Ikana Canyon protected by a huge boulder. He can be seen on the first night trying to steal a Bomb Bag from the old lady of the Bomb Shop and also steals the Sun's Mask from Kafei.

Red Pikmin are the first variety of Pikmin identified in the Pikmin games. Aside from their color, the distinguishing feature of Red Pikmin is their pointed noses. These Pikmin possess an immunity to fire, making them useful for fighting Fiery Bulblaxes and Fiery Blowhogs and passing by - or, in Pikmin 2, destroying - fire geysers. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Red Pikmin can also use fire to attack their opponents.

The hands are very hard. One way to bypass this problem is cutting hand shaped patterns out of colored paper or coloring white paper red with markers. But to make them look the best, using the pieces is recommended. If you would like to make the leaf double sided, print the first page twice. Other than that, this is a very simple model.
